Starts off as a sad story, but a very happy ending. A bit predictable overall, but it is ok since it winds up as a happy love story. Some very humorous scenes/sections, great character development. Easy to read, long but a quick read. I enjoyed it.
I like Dunant's other books better, especially Birth of Venus. I was so looking forward to reading this story. It involves an interesting historical context and religious setting, but a very predictable story line. It was also one of those stories where it almost seemed like the author decided she was tired of writing this story, and suddenly the plot turned and the story ended. I didn't like that transition at all as it felt very predictable and convenient. Easy to read, but not as high quality as her other books.
I like the name of this book. I like it because it is my favorite color, purple.
I can read this book easily (I am going into First Grade.) I like this book alot. I like the page with the big sheep party on it. I like the star sheep too. I think you should read this book, you might like it.
I like this book a little bit. I like how they were getting mad at eachother and then they got happy again. I do not like the page where everyone screams. I think you should read this book. (I am just about to start First Grade. This book is easy for me to read.)
