This book will completely resonate wit new parents! The illustrations are divine, Frazee just captures the expressions and emotion of the demands a new baby puts on parents and the exhaustion and love the parents have for their own Boss Baby. LOVE THIS BOOK!!
Audio made it funnier!

The narrator's sense of humor helped take the edge off of this gory macabre story. very clever story, one older kids will simply EAT UP! pair with the original folk tales, The Graveyard Book or the Alvin Schwartz Scary Stories series.
i am always on the look out for books to recommend to boy readers. they have to be funny, fast-paced and have interesting characters and this book is just that! Homer P. Figg goes on his own Odyssey in the deep south during the Civil War where he uses his wits and cleverness to track down his brother and stay one step ahead of his pursuers. a great historical fiction genre read for anyone, but especially for boys looking for one with some HUMOR in it!
i love this book!

I *love* books where the main character is a spunky strong-willed girl who challenges the status quo. Callie is exactly that. At the turn of the last century, when automobiles and telephones were new and fancy inventions, Callie's family lives down south in TX. They are rather well off and the family expects her (the only girl in the family with 6 sons) to be a delicate debutante. But Callie has other aspirations. She wants to study science and develops a close relationship with her Grandfather, a Naturalist. Together, they experiment, read and explore the wonders of the natural world. Will a husband or college be in Callie's future?

11 year old Poppy Ray longs to be a veterinarian. Sadly, her mother is allergic so she's never even been allowed to have a pet! But lucky for her, this year her parents let her go spend the summer with her uncle Sanjay on an island in Washington where he runs his own vet clinic! She will get to experience the highs of cuddling newborn kittens and the lows of hit and run accidents. She's not exactly prepared for all the gross stuff and meets a friend named Hawk who helps her get through the tough times. This is a great story for any kid who thinks they might want to be a Vet someday!
