I made Lahey's basic no-knead bread last weekend and it was delicious. His book has easy directions and includes photos of each step in the process. You need a 4 1/2 - 5 1/2 quart dutch oven to bake the bread in. No kneading, just mix together the dough and let it rise for 12- 18 hours. A delicious crusty, rustic round loaf. There are several books out that use the "no-knead" method, but I think Lahey was the first to develop it for the Sullivan Street Bakery in Brooklyn.
