Calling all Makers! The T|E|A Room (Technology, Engineering, & the Arts) is open for free play, exploration, creation and discovery. Grades 3-6.
For the month of May, we'll be offering our Open T|E|A Room Program on Wednesdays, May 7, 14, 21, and 28 from 4-6 pm.
Open T|E|A Room topics are:
May 7: Flying Machines
It's a bird! It's a plane! Come craft all different kinds of flying machines.
May 14: Rainbow Looms
Bring your own loom and rubberbands and get tips from other loomers. Share your favorite designs and learn a new favorite.
*A small amount of looms and rubberband will be available*
May 21: Shadow Art
Combine light, shadow, paper, pencils, marker and crayons to create rad art.
May 28: Origami
Did you know that ori means "folding" and kami (kami changes to gami due to rendaku) means "paper"? Come learn and practice the traditional Japanese art of paper folding.
Registration starts March 24!
T|E|A Room classes are held Tuesday & Wednesday afternoons from 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m., and are open to children in Grades 3 to 6.

Intro to Coding

An introduction to coding with the Hopscotch app. (Grades 3 to 6)

After learning the basics of Hopscotch kids will take it to the next level. Pre-requisite: Intro to Coding

An invention for the 21st century. Turn bananas into a keyboard and much more.
Intro to Soldering - Saturday, May 17 at 1:30pm
Grades 5 to 6 and Adult
In this family program participants will learn how to solder and earn a blinking robot badge.
