Congratulations to Zach Heyde, who won first place in Darien Library's talent competition, held last night in the Community Room. Zach played two beautiful piano pieces, including one he composed himself.

Second place went to Elizabeth Leimkuhler and Collin Shay. Elizabeth sang Bewitched while accompanied by Collin on the piano (and she accompanied herself on the kazoo).

All of our performers were WONDERFUL. Thanks so much to the Teen Advisory Board for putting on such a great show! Click on the photo of our winners to see more images from last night.

smash!!!

Make Darien proud with your Super Smash Brothers Brawl skills. Compete against other libraries nationwide and let them know who's boss!

At 1 PM this Saturday, we will begin our tournament. Only 4 players will be eligible to compete for the library, so we will have play-offs starting at 1 PM to determine who will represent us. The national competition begins at 3 PM. What do you win? BRAGGING RIGHTS--are you the best gamer in the entire country??

In the Community Room -- yep, on the huge screen. Come to play or come to watch. Snacks and sodas for everyone!

If you want to compete, email Alex at ahylton [at] darienlibrary [dot] org or call 669-5225.
