Teen Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer for the Library this fall

General Volunteer Opportunities
Teens grades 6 and up are welcome to be Children's Room volunteers. Tasks include straightening and being responsible for areas of the Library and other special projects upon occasion. Volunteers must commit to at least 1 hour per month in the Children's Room and are asked to phone ahead before arriving. No other sign ups are required. For special volunteer opportunities, see below.

Book Group Helpers
Tuesday, Sept. 18 from 5:45 to 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 17 from 5:45 to 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 14 from 5:45 to 7 p.m. (Nutmeg Bookgroups)
Responsible teens grades 7 and up needed to assist with bookgroups for younger children. Pick as many or as few dates as you like. Volunteer sign ups begin September 4.

Wednesday, Jan. 23 from 4:30 to 7:45 p.m.
Grades 7 and up
Assist with our quiz show, Nutmeg @ Nite, a celebration of the Nutmeg Book Award, Connecticut's Children's CHoice Award. Responsible teens needed for set up and assistance with games and prizes. The volunteer uniform is a black t-shirt and jeans. Registration begins January 2.
