We are pleased to host the Community Mindfulness Project, CMP, on every other Tuesday evening in January, February and March for a new series on meditation!
CMP provides opportunities for individuals and groups to learn about and engage in meditation and mindfulness. A rapidly growing body of scientific evidence indicates that meditation and mindfulness improve physical and emotional well-being, with benefits including improved emotional regulation, focus, resilience, and compassion. CMP’s secular, science-based teachings draw from a variety of meditation traditions, and the group supports new and veteran practitioners.
Each session can function as a stand-alone session, with no prior or ongoing attendance required, and is comprised of a brief introduction, instruction on Mindfulness practice, and a guided meditation followed by a question and answer session. Attendees will be seated and no special clothing or equipment required.
