We’ll discuss some interesting and unconventional use of containers. Dana will demonstrate container planting, discuss soil media, and share techniques for accomplishing both visual interest and function.

About the Speaker

Dana Weinberg is a UConn Extension Advanced Master Gardener. Dana has gardened enthusiastically for most of her life and received her Master Gardener Certification from the University of Connecticut in 2016. Her other interests including cooking, baking, floral decoration, and a wide variety of studio art endeavors. She volunteers extensively at the Bartlett Arboretum in Stamford, where she has helped to catalog the fern garden, designed and led classes on Arbor Earth Day, and spent hour after hour weeding and mulching. Dana holds a B.A. in Studio Art and Psychology from the University in Virginia. She lives in Stamford with her husband, and they have two (occasionally) adult children.
