19 spaces available

When Mary Shelley was 18-years-old she accepted a ghost story writing challenge and Frankenstein was born. Now it's your turn! Inspired by that fateful writing competition, we're encouraging teens to write their own short stories to read aloud in this online open mic. Will you write the next Frankenstein?

If you are interested in reading your story aloud, please submit it in advance via this Google Form. Stories should be no longer than five minutes when read aloud.

Not interested in writing but love to listen? Don't hesitate to join in!

Registered. Ages 12-18.

This program will take place on Zoom. We will email all participants the Zoom room link.

This event is part of our One Book One Community program on the legacy of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.
