Virtual Theatre Camp for Tweens and Teens

Break out of your virtual boxes on Zoom! Tweens and teens will play theatre games and pantomime, learn the art of improvisations, and try their hand at playwriting! Anyone from first time actors to well seasoned thespians are welcome to join the fun! This playful and relaxed environment will encourage participants to improve their creativity, spontaneity, and intuition. Who said that Zoom can’t be interactive, physical and full of energy? Teaching artist Ingrid Schaeffer will be your guide through an adventurous week bursting with theatre and creativity!

Ages 11 to 18.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Ingrid Schaeffer (BFA-Carnegie Mellon University, MS and 6th in Educational Leadership-Southern Connecticut University) is Chair of the Theatre Department at The Educational Center for the Arts (ECA). She is a member of the Actors Equity Association and has performed in professional theaters throughout CT, NY, and the greater New England area. Ingrid is also the recipient of the Mary Hunter Wolf Award from Long Wharf Theatre for teaching excellence. She prides herself on her ability to ignite the fire within her students so that they can access their creativity and inherent talent.
