Come learn the popular and playful Modern Calligraphy! Taught by calligrapher, Debby Reelitz. You will learn where this style comes from, strategies on how to create this lettering style and end with a project. During this program you will learn about the importance of hand-lettering in a digital world and why it is still relevant. Debby will discuss three different ways modern calligraphy can be written and of course, how to write this modern calligraphy style.
This event will take place on Zoom. All registrants will be emailed the link.
A calligraphy pen needed for the course will be provided to each registrant. Pens may be picked up at the library starting Monday, August 17th.
About the Presenter
Debby Reelitz is a professional calligrapher in North Granby, Connecticut. Introduced to calligraphy by her 5th grade teacher, she dabbled for years. Then in 1998, she opened her own calligraphy studio in Chicago. She teaches this beautiful art form; creates awards, gifts, commissions, chalkboards, and more. Check out her website.
