Please join us as we welcome Katie Shepherd, a registered dietitian for a virtual baking class! You’ll make Pumpkin Scones and have the opportunity to ask Katie any food or nutrition-related questions.
You’ll need the following ingredients for this recipe: flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice (or ground ginger, nutmeg, & cloves), salt, butter, 1 egg, cream OR milk, pumpkin puree, light brown sugar, maple syrup (optional) and powdered sugar.
The recipe will be delicious even if you don’t have all the spices!
About the Presenter
Katie Shepard is a Registered Dietitian and small business owner. After graduating from UCONN’s Coordinated Program in Dietetics and working at WIC and as a Retail Dietitian, Katie decided to combine her passions of nutrition and teaching kids and adults how to cook delicious and healthy foods.
