Discussion: The Future of Fairfield County, Darien
Thursday, April 22, 2021
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
At the first session in this two-part program, attendees discussed the long-range economic outlook in Fairfield County, learned about issues of environmental sustainability and equity, and heard the perspectives and concerns of the next generation of young professionals.
While the April 5th session focused on expert presentations on the area’s long-range economic outlook and environmental sustainability and heard the perspective of a new generation of professionals, the April 22nd session will provide an opportunity for Darien residents to share their own expectations about what they envision for Darien in the next decade. The program will be moderated by Stephen Saloom, Director of Advocacy and Capacity Building at the Fairfield County Community Foundation.
It is not necessary to have participated in the April 5th session. However, if you wish to review the previous presentation, the recording is available through DarienLibrary.TV.
Key Issues to Discuss
In this session, the audience will discuss the key issues they selected from the previous event:
Enabling a strong economy
Attracting young people
Protecting the environment
Decreasing the wealth disparity
Darien Library is proud to co-sponsor this event with the League of Women Voters of Darien and the Fairfield County Community Foundation.
