Please join us for a private virtual tour "At Home with the Impressionists" led by our personal museum guide Kate Ebner through the historic house known as Hill-Stead.

Take a close, critical, and unhurried look at some of the most significant paintings by Impressionist painters. Learn about the family that traveled the world to find them. Discover Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Mary Cassatt, and the works of American artist, James McNeill Whistler, all collected by Alfred Atmore Pope for the enjoyment of his family, friends, and guests—like you!

About the Presenter

Kate Ebner is Director of Education at Hill-Stead Museum. She teaches art history and museum studies at area community colleges and Miss Porter’s School, where she also leads the art history internship program. Kate grew up in the Air Force and moved frequently but claims Washington D.C. as her hometown. She married a wonderful Texan and has remained married for over 26 years even though she received her M.A. in Art History from the University of Oklahoma.
