You Are Not Alone approaches the science of death or dying with a healthy dose of common sense and encourages rational skepticism. Author, Sydney Sherman looks at why and what we believe about the afterlife. Sherman's book draws distinctions between myths and the paranormal and recounts numerous experiences with energies.
The author educates readers on how they too can continue their relationship with their loved ones. With step–by–step advice, Sherman encourages people to think about the potential this information holds for all of us. Sherman hopes readers will come to the same understanding-—they are not gone; they are still very much here with us. We just need to start listening.
As a career registered nurse, Sydney Sherman has witnessed death and the dying process through her work. The act of dying may differ from person to person or manner of death, however, the actual transition from our physical form to our natural form of energy is the same for everyone. The study of life after death (or the transition) is called Thanatology and it is a well-documented field of study. Sydney’s mission is to promote a greater understanding and demystification of death, offer the necessary information people need to comprehend death, and provide proof that life does not end with death.
Sydney’s goal – the message of her books – is to deliver clarity, an enhanced level of understanding of the afterlife.
Begin With the End in Mind
This program is part of a series, Begin With the End in Mind. The end is not a topic many feel comfortable discussing and that is why we are often not prepared when the time comes. It is to everyone’s advantage to discuss plans and preferences regarding death. The goal of this series is to help attendees and their loved ones learn how to properly plan from beginning to end.
This series will take place the first Wednesday evening of every month at 7 p.m.
