Spend the night looking at Venus, the Moon, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune along with Orion Nebula. Join telescope maker, Zane Landers as he shares his knowledge of the deep sky. Take a look through one of Zane's homemade scopes and explore the magic of the night sky and beyond.

About the Presenter

Zane Landers is an 18-year-old college senior and telescope maker from Stamford, Connecticut. Zane has built over a dozen telescopes ranging from 6″ to 24″ in aperture and is now working on a meter-class Dobsonian as his next project. Zane is an avid deep-sky observer and sidewalk astronomer, setting up a telescope somewhere almost every clear night and having observed elusive objects such as Integrated Flux Nebula. Zane is currently studying Communications at the University of Connecticut and hopes to work as a science writer and communicator.

This event will take place in person. Due to the space limitations, masks are required at this outdoor program.
