Darien Library (CT) is seeking an intelligent, curious, and innovative technology professional to work with our Head of User Experience in managing Darien Library’s cutting-edge technology infrastructure. Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain and manage the Library's network, storage, and server infrastructure
Perform regularly scheduled operations, such as backups, log analysis, software audits, and security checks.
Coordinate with vendors.
Provide Tier III or equivalent-level tech support to the organization.
Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
Develop and maintain complete, in-depth documentation of and procedures for the Library's technology configuration.
Work with the Head of User Experience on the development and tracking of the library's technology budget.
Linux, Windows/Server 2008, 2012, 2016, and Mac OS X
VMWare vSphere, vCenter, and Horizon View
General systems administration including:
Backup and recovery
Windows Active Directory
TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, SNTP, NTP, SMB, etc.
Other fundamentals: RAID, HA, Storage management, etc.
Development skill including
Git & Github
Integrated library systems or inventory control systems
HP Procurve networking
Emerging trends in technology
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or commensurate work experience.
Salary & Benefits
This is a full-time position (37.5 hour/week) with an annual salary of $80,000. Salary includes generous vacation, sick, and personal leave; significant opportunities for professional development; health benefits; and enrollment in the town pension program.
