Due to a rise in COVID cases, masks are required when visiting the Library building.

Start off 2021 right by playing a song that really kicks into gear at exactly midnight. We've asked our staff and checked the internet for the best suggestions. If you have a song that fits, tweet us @darienlibrary or post it on Facebook. Or you can relax and checkout a playlist on our Spotify account.

We cover a variety of moods in our selections. There are also many different versions of these songs online, so listen to your preferred song ahead of time to make sure the "beat" hits at the right time. Then count backwards to the precise millisecond you need to start the song so it'll "hit" at midnight on cue.

Use this timer to help you start the song at the right millisecond. We used this calculator to find the start time.
