Thursday, December 11 at 7 p.m.

The "Focusing on You" meditation series leads up to the start of the holiday season. Do you find you get swept up in the expectations and "busy"-ness of the holidays? Do you find you lose your sense of self? Would you like to increase your personal enjoyment of this very special season, and for that matter, your every day life? This series of five sessions over six weeks is designed to offer meditations and tools to help you focus on you, your presence and ability to live in the moment.

The program will be led by Julie Punishill, a graduate of the two-year intensive training program at the Institute for Conscious Counseling and Coaching in Essex, MA.

Friday Night Feature - 'Belle'

Belle
Belle

Friday, November 28th at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. - Belle (2013) Starring Gugu Mabatha-Raw, Sam Reid, Tom Wilkinson, and Emily Watson; Rated PG; 104 minutes. Presented with captions for the hearing impaired.

This film is inspired by the true story of Dido Elizabeth Belle, the illegitimate mixed race daughter of Admiral Sir John Lindsay. Raised by her aristocratic great-uncle Lord Mansfield and his wife, Belle’s lineage affords her certain privileges, yet her status prevents her from the traditions of noble social standing. While her cousin Elizabeth chases suitors for marriage, Belle is left on the sidelines wondering if she will ever find love.

For more information, please watch the film's trailer.  Check out what else we're screening in November.

About Mission In A Bottle: The Honest Guide to Doing Business Differently-- and Succeeding

In Mission In A Bottle: The Honest Guide to Doing Business Differently-- and Succeeding, the cofounders of Honest Tea tell the engaging story of how they created and built a mission-driven business, offering a wealth of insights and advice to entrepreneurs, would-be entrepreneurs, and millions of Honest Tea drinkers about the challenges and hurdles of creating a successful business--and the importance of perseverance and creative problem-solving.

Seth Goldman and Barry Nalebuff began Honest Tea fifteen years ago with little more than a tea leaf of an idea and a passion to offer organic, freshly brewed, lightly sweetened bottled tea. Today Honest Tea is a rapidly expanding national brand sold in more than 100,0000 grocery stores, restaurants, convenience stores and drugstores across the country. The brand has flourished as American consumers move toward healthier and greener lifestyles.

Library staff members will lead the discussion.

We have copies of the book available for patrons to borrow, but prior reading of the books is not necessary to attend the discussion.
