Celebrating 128 Years: 1894 to 2022
On Wednesday, May 25th, in honor of the Library’s 128th anniversary, we aim to raise $128,000 in one day!
Please make a donation and stop by the Library courtyard on May 25th to celebrate and enjoy the festivities, including crafts, balloon art, an ice cream truck, and more! This Giving Day has replaced our traditional Spring Gala and serves as a critical source of funding for the Library. Darien Library is a true public-private partnership between the Town of Darien, which pays for salaries and operating expenses, and the Friends of the Library, who generously fund all the books, audiobooks, e-Books, computers, technology, research databases, and the Library’s impressive range of cultural and entertainment programs.
Please join us in giving today! To commemorate our 128th anniversary, each donor will receive exclusive giveaways at the following suggested contribution levels:
- $12.80: Darien Library Let’s Grow seed kit
- $128: Darien Library pop-up LED lantern
- $1,280: Darien Library insulated tote from L.L. Bean
- $12,800: All the above and more!
Your donation is tax-deductible since the Library is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
