Reserve a Room

Study Room Policies

  • Patrons are allowed one room booking per person or group per day.
  • Rooms can be reserved for up to 2 hours, and should be scheduled on the hour or half-hour.
  • Please check-in for your reservation at the Reference Desk within 15 minutes of your scheduled time, or you may forfeit your reservation.

Reserve for Today

All patrons can make day-of reservations online.

Reserve for Another Day

Book up to 14 days in advance if you are a Darien resident, work in town, or a Friend of the Library.

Rent a Meeting Room

Our meeting rooms can host groups ranging from 12 to 171 attendees.

Bloomberg Terminal

Darien Library

Maximum Capacity: 1

Use the Bloomberg Terminal to search for job openings in the financial district. It also tracks real-time financial market data so you can stay on top of the market and your investments.

Harris Writer's Room

Darien Library

Maximum Capacity: 8

The Harris Writer's Room is great for quiet working groups! From this room you are just a few feet away from a reference librarian and all of the non-fiction materials when you work in this room! It is located on the Second Level in the Research Room.

Talking is permitted.

Lautenbach Writer's Room

Maximum Capacity: 6

The Lautenbach Writer's Room features seclusion for the talkative work group. With plenty of light, it is our most charming meeting room. It is located on the Mezzanine Level of the Library.

Talking is permitted.

Quiet Study Room 1

Maximum Capacity: 2

The Quiet Study Rooms are built for solitude! Two people may be in these rooms if they are doing silent study. The three Quiet Study Rooms are located on the Mezzanine Level of the Library.

This is a silent study space.

Four people may meet in this room together. The Study Pod features a built-in monitor and camera for video conferencing, power outlets, and ultra quiet venilation.

The Study Pod is located on the Second Floor in the Research Room.

Please note: Food is not allowed in this Study Pod.
