Do you feel uneasy about using a computer? No longer! Come aboard the American Job Center Career Coach at Darien Library for a Computer Basics workshop and participate in a fun, two-hour, hands-on session. So sign up and come hang out with us for an exciting session about computer basics. 

What you will learn:

Come and have a blast at our workshop where we make computers super simple and fun! 

  • What is The Cloud? Join us to find out! 
  • Ever wondered how the internet works? We’ll unravel its secrets for you! 
  • Find out about computer software and why it’s different from hardware 
  • Get to know the parts that make up a computer – we'll describe them in an easy way 
  • Discover handy shortcuts you can use with your keyboard! 
  • Learn the simple steps to keep your files safe by backing it up

This class is also available for a 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. session.

About the Bus

The American Job Center Career Coach makes weekly visits to cities and towns in coordination with community organizations. When you step aboard the Career Coach, you are greeted by expert staff and seated at one of ten (10) computer workstations. The Coach welcomes all to come in and use the computers for computer training.
