Rest is essential for body, mind, and spirit. Join us in a midday reset with gentle movement and meditation designed to release tension from the body and mind. We’ll begin with simple standing stretches and shift to seated to touch into breath and invite openness and ease. We'll close with a reclined body scan meditation on a yoga mat with the invitation to let go and welcome rest and renewal. Explore and experience spaciousness and calm and leave feeling refreshed. Suggested Props: Bring a yoga mat, yoga blanket or a couple of beach towels along with minimal support for your head (small cushion or folded towel). A scarf might be nice to gently cover the eyes.
About the Presenter:
Monica Keady, is a life-long yoga practitioner and a registered yoga teacher and meditation guide. Monica has studied a variety of yoga and meditation styles. She has taught yoga at local studios and led meditation groups at the Darien YMCA and Silver Hill Hospital.
