Join OK To Delay and Darien Library for a presentation on raising healthy technology users with Alice Lynch LSW. Using clinical insights and data from her experiences as a school based social worker and private practice psychotherapist, learn about how parents can play an active role in helping their children navigate their technology. Topics will include the variable reward system and how today's devices are engineered to create a dopamine drip, as well as a discussion of how our thoughts play a crucial role in behavior, and how the phones train our youth to seek external validation.

About the Presenter
Alice Lynch LSW, is a licensed Social Worker with a dual Master's degree from NYU in Social work and Special Education from Fordham University. She embodies a professional background in school-based counseling and comprehensive evaluations for individuals and groups. Alice actively collaborates with parents and educators to support students' academic success. She focuses on identifying their unique needs and goals, equipping them with healthy coping strategies.
Alice is also a dedicated parent coach. She supports parents in navigating the challenges associated with excessive screen time and mobile device use. By providing practical strategies, she helps families establish healthy technology habits, improve classroom engagement and foster positive behaviors at home.
As a psychotherapist, Alice tailors her interventions to meet individual needs by employing a range of modalities. Her versatile methods ensure that each client receives the most effective and appropriate care for their unique situation.
