Event Details

The Children's Library is pleased to welcome back Carrie Seim to the Library in celebration of her new middle grade book, Horse Camp!

In this hilariously voiced and thrilling sequel to Horse Girl (described as Mean Girls meets Black Beauty), seventh-grader Willa finds a secret note inviting her to Juniper Ranch — a sleepaway camp that’s all about horses. The camp promises trail rides, horseback swims and “ghorst” stories, plus tons of new horse girl and (gasp!) horse boy friends. But when a beloved steed goes missing, everyone at Juniper Ranch is suddenly a suspect. Wills isn’t sure who to trust (including herself) as she tries to figure out who’s behind the mysterious horsenapping.

Attendees will hear Carrie read aloud from the book, answer participant questions in the Q&A session, and sign copies of her new book. Barrett Bookstore will be on site to sell copies of Carrie's books: Whether you're a fan of horses, mysteries, or brilliantly funny books, you won't want to miss out on this ah-neigh-zing event.

Ages 8 and up. Registration is recommended but not required.
