Program Type:Classes & Workshops
This movement and dance workshop will explore the Six Principles of Nonviolence, created by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in his book, Stride Toward Freedom. Kingian Nonviolence is a philosophy that helps people of all ages with nonviolent conflict resolution. Children will be creating a word wall using vocabulary that connects nonviolence to social justice. Participants will create dances together and end the class with a visual arts project to express our ideas about how to create positive change in the world.
