Program Description

Event Details

The Programming Department has arranged for a private tour at Weir Farm National Historical Park.

Weir Farm National Historical Park is a National Park for Art, a place that has been inspiring artists since 1882 when America’s most beloved Impressionist, Julian Alden Weir, made this his summer home. Today, artists and visitors of all ages come to the park to enjoy the stunning landscape, walk in the footsteps of American masters, and create art!

Our visit will include a Ranger-guided tour of the Weir House and Studios - learn about the legacy of creativity started by Weir, and the three generations of artists who called Weir Farm home. After the tour, you have the option to create your own masterpiece and Take Part in Art with the park's free-to-use watercolor or sketching kits, stop by the newly renovated visitor center to view the new exhibits and artwork, complete a Junior Ranger activity and earn your badge, or just enjoy a stroll through the stunning grounds and gardens, or perhaps a hike to Weir Pond.

We hope you will join us for a visit to our local national park!  Learn more about the park by visiting www.nps.gov/wefa

If you sign up, but realize you cannot attend, please let us know as soon as possible.
