Event Details
Backgammon is one of the world’s oldest and most beloved strategy games, offering a fun way to exercise the mind while supporting focus, memory, and overall well-being. Whether brand new to the game or looking to sharpen skills, participants will learn the fundamentals, strategies, and techniques in a welcoming, engaging environment.
All backgammon boards will be provided. Just bring curiosity and a sense of adventure. Instruction is designed to be clear, supportive, and enjoyable for all learners.
Registration Note
Serious learners only. Because each session builds on the last, registration is for all five classes. Please sign up only if you are able to attend the full series: Wednesday, April 15th, Wednesday, April 22nd, Wednesday, April 29th , Wednesday, May 6th , and Wednesday, May 13th from 7 p.m. – 8 p.m.

About the Instructor
David J. Smith has enjoyed playing backgammon for more than fifty years and brings both deep knowledge of the game and a passion for teaching. He has served as an adjunct college marketing professor for nearly a decade and has extensive business experience in both domestic and international settings. David lived and worked overseas for fifteen years in Europe and Latin America and speaks fluent Spanish, conversational Portuguese, and some Italian. His teaching style is engaging, approachable, and focused on creating a fun and rewarding learning experience for all participants.
