This event features an engaging panel discussion, designed to demystify this chapter of life and offer practical, compassionate guidance. Panelists include Dr. Shieva Ghofrany (OB/GYN & Co-founder of TRIBE CALLED V) and Dr. Katie Takayasu (Integrative Medicine Physician & Owner, Wellness Insights) and will be moderated by Liz Barron (Freelance Writer; Staff Writer, Moffly Media; Children’s Book Author)
During this conversation-forward experience, our panelists will dive into symptoms, treatment options, lifestyle strategies, and the emotional realities of this transition—while clearing up common misconceptions along the way.

About Dr. Shieva Ghofrany
Dr. Shieva Ghofrany has been an OB/GYN since 1999 with Coastal OB/GYN and co-creator of TRIBE CALLED V. Having travailed 6 miscarriages, 3 births, endometriosis, weight loss surgery AND ovarian cancer, among other issues, Shieva harnesses her personal experience coupled with her professional observations to GENUINELY help achieve a calmer perspective. She engages with women on every level to guide them realistically in their quest for understanding of their bodies. What started as an endeavor to connect with other women on Instagram (now with almost 50k followers) led to multiple consulting and speaking engagements live and virtually. As well, she is frequently quoted in online publications such as Self magazine, Huffington Post, MindBodyGreen discussing an array of women’s issues.
About Dr. Katie, MD
Dr. Katie Takayasu is an Integrative Medicine physician, author of Plants First: A Physician’s Guide to Wellness Through a Plant-Forward Diet, and speaker in the holistic health space, bridging the gap between traditional Western medicine and the evidenced-based complementary health tools of nutrition, acupuncture, meditation, botanicals and lifestyle optimization. Dr. Katie received her B.B.A. from the University of Michigan, her M.D. and M.B.A. from Wright State University, her Family Medicine Residency from Columbia University/New York Presbyterian where she served as Chief Resident, and her fellowship training from the University of Arizona Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine. She loves being with other people who bring her joy, especially her husband and two sons.
