Event Details
This table storytelling workshop by puppeteer Adelka Polak includes the West African folktale, “Leopard’s Drum” as told through miniature puppets made from everyday materials.
These recognizable objects come to life as a collection of characters that breath life into this exciting tale that incorporates themes of perseverance, greed, jealousy, and ends with triumph by the least expected character who uses knowledge and wit above all else.
Every participant in the workshop then gets to create their own unique puppet that they can take home with them made from the fantastic array of materials that we get to reimagine into something new.
Ages 5 to 10.
