Event Details
Dungeons and Dragons, a.k.a. D&D, is coming to Darien Library! This fantasy based, role-playing game, was introduced in 1974, and is popular throughout the world!
What to Expect
The first of a series, and the beginning of a campaign, this first session will introduce all players to the popular role-playing adventures into the fantasy realms.
This first meeting will be the development of your own character, as you venture into the world of the Dragon Lance Saga. Made popular by the bestselling books by Weiss and Hickman, this adventure begins your journey through the world of Krynn and Dragons.
Use your Fighter, Ranger, Paladin, Cleric, Monk, Magic User, Thief, Dwarf, Kinder, Druid, and others to investigate the post-cataclysm world of the Dragon Lance Saga. Initiating a lower-level campaign beginning with the ”Dragons of Despair,” each session will be suitable for the beginning, or the experienced player.
Which rules to use?
We will be using current fifth edition rules adapted for this older adventure. Please note that older editions are acceptable and familiarity with D&D beyond is encouraged--but not required.
Player handbooks, manuals, reference material, dice, character figurines and character sheets will be provided.
Come join us for this exciting adventure!
