The most wonderful time of the year starts at Darien Library! Please join us for a celebration of holiday trees, each one representing a beloved book, decorated by community members, designers, and local organizations.
The trees will remain on display in Darien Library from November 28th to January 2nd.

Friday, November 28, 2025 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Join us for opening night of this year's Lit Tree Lane. Enjoy festive music, catch up with friends, and indulge in refreshments.
Distinguished judges will be on hand to award the top three designs!
For ChildrenChildren can join us for a fun craft, creating a pipe cleaner wreath that doubles as an ornament or holiday decoration. Plus, don’t miss our one-night-only scavenger hunt!
About the BandJeff Slate & Friends is a renowned frontman and songwriter in the NYC music scene, known for his monthly sellout shows. With a career spanning decades, he's worked with legends like Pete Townshend and Sheryl Crow, and his music has appeared in films and TV shows.

2025 Judges
George Wyper
George Wyper is a beloved honorary trustee and former Board President of Darien Library. He founded and was a managing member of Wyper Capital Management, and has also held senior executive positions at Warburg Pincus and Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company. George is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and earned his MBA from the Yale School of Management.
An avid golfer, he currently serves as President of the United States Seniors' Golf Association.
Tessa Wegert
She is the critically acclaimed author of the Shana Merchant mysteries, as well as the North Country series, beginning with In the Bones. Her books have received numerous starred reviews and have been featured on PBS and NPR Radio.
A former journalist and copywriter, Tessa grew up in Quebec and now lives with her husband and children in Connecticut, where she co-founded Sisters in Crime CT and serves on the board of International Thriller Writers (ITW).
Pamela Dey Vossler
She is a veteran strategic communications, content development, engagement professional with deep experience in creating compelling messaging across a wide array of media platforms to meet a broad range of communication goals.
A longtime resident of Darien where she lives with her husband and raised two children, Pam is currently the editor-in-chief and co-founder of Darien MagazineCT.
