What is the TEA Room?
The TEA Room is a mini-makerspace designed for children in grades 3 to 6. It has various self-guided activities that focus on technology, engineering, and the arts.
Please note that children under age 5 are not permitted in the TEA Room.
What kinds of things can I do there?
The TEA Room is full of self-guided activities such as crafts and STEM kits. There are also art supplies, building kits, and other tech items to try out!
Many users will book an appointment to use the 3D Printer in the TEA Room. Reservations for the 3D Printer can be made online 48 hours in advance of the appointment. Librarians will provide a list of Library-approved prints for the appointment.
All items printed on the 3D printer are required to be printed within the hour-long appointment.

- Saturdays from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.
To use the 3D Printer, please make your registration online 48 hours in advance of the appointment.
Drop-In TEA Room Appointments
- Monday through Friday from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. OR 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Guidelines
Please note the following guidelines:
- Use of the TEA Room is available for Kids in Grades 3 – 6, and one parent/guardian.
- There can be a maximum of 4 age-appropriate kids in the room with an adult.
- Children under age 5 are not permitted in the TEA Room.
- The parent/guardian is required to stay in the room for the duration of the reservation.
- Appointments are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Once you are booked, the librarians will send you a list of 3D Prints to choose from for your appointment.
